Research and rationality- what else to say? Born in a moderately pious family, made to read Quran, offer namaaz, observe roza- I grew up as a devout Muslim and moved on to become an ex-Momeen!
Even when I was a religious Muslim, I never accepted the theory that only Islamic way of praying led to heaven- I was born to Muslim parents, so I pray in this way but my Hindu friends were taught in different kind and they follow that, what’s wrong?
But the theology ordered me that there is only one way of prayer methodology for the entire world to pursue, else they were destined to hell- the concept was simply strangulating. My philosophy that God would not discriminate on the basis of how you pray rather on how much you contribute was vehemently opposed by everyone- this was in the moderately religious house-hold, imagine how it would be in a conservative circle. I wondered who was incorrect and the journey began!
When I was struggling if only I was questioning Islam, I understood there were already individuals who questioned and were being hounded for daring to protest. Internet opened up a new world and illuminated the battling mind. Ali Sina proved to be a beacon of light. By this time Alqaeda and Taliban occupied the screen space and were teaching the entire world about the theology. Now Boko Haram and ISIS are proving how kind Alqaeda and Taliban were!
We are indoctrinated from infancy; hence to question and quit is a Herculean task. I thank God for blessing me with that rationale. -Momeen

I know an ex Muslim public servant against who cbi in collusion with hindu officers filed case and that after 38 years central bureau of investigation have withdrawn the said case. what an hatassmernt in hindustan.
Another case: Govt Examiner of Questioned Documents certified a document as tampered but still a Muslim officer was convicted on the basis of tampered document.

THE CRIMINAL LAWS OF ALLAH
1. Killing, murder, slaughter of all infidels that have not converted to Islam.
2. Killing, murder, slaughter of all apostates of Islam.
3. Islam orders death for Muslims and possible death for non-Muslim critics of Muhammad and the Quran and even sharia itself.
4. Muslims deserve death for doing any of the following (Reliance of the Traveler pp. 597—98, o8.7): (1) Reviling Allah or his Messenger; (2) being sarcastic about ‘Allah’s name, His command, His interdiction, His promise, or His threat’; (3) denying any verse of the Quran or ‘anything which by scholarly consensus belongs to it, or to add a verse that does not belong to it’; (4) holding that ‘any of Allah’s messengers or prophets are liars, or to deny their being sent’; (5) reviling the religion of Islam; (6) being sarcastic about any ruling of the Sacred Law; (7) denying that Allah intended ‘the Prophet’s message . . . to be the religion followed by the entire world.’
5. Islam allows the ownership of slaves – it is a law of ALLAH.
6.ALLAH permits the raping of female slaves. Indeed in Islam – rape is not a sexual weapon – it is a weapon of war. Having murdered the woman’s man, Muslims can now – sanctioned by the law of ALLAH complete their final humiliation and domination of her body.
7.ALLAH sanctions the seizing, looting and pillaging of property of murdered infidels.

10. The ALLAH depicted in the Koran is no ordinary god. He is the greatest slut master of the entire universe. ALLAH has created a deviant sexual paradise filled with virgins with big breasts and lustrous eyes. These virgins re- generate as virgins every time a believer has sex with them. These righteous Muslim killers and murderers of ALLAH are blessed with eternal erections. They are permitted by ALLAH to engage in all forms of orgies, group sex, and sexual depravity.
11. ALLAH permits the following crimes to be committed in His name and greater glory. (1) Women and children are enslaved. They can either be sold, or the Muslims may ‘marry’ the women, since their marriages are automatically annulled upon their capture. (2) Muslims may have sex with slave women. Ali, Muhammad’s cousin and son—in—law, did this. (3) Women and children must not be killed during war, unless this happens in a nighttime raid when visibility was low. Not as an act of mercy but as a commercial decision. They are money and sex on the hoof. (4) Old men and monks could be killed. (5) A captured enemy of war could be killed, enslaved, ransomed for money or an exchange, freely released, or beaten. One time Muhammad even tortured a citizen of the city of Khaybar in order to extract information about where the wealth of the city was hidden. (6) Enemy men who converted could keep their property and small children. This law is so excessive that it amounts to forced conversion. Only the strongest of the strong could resist this coercion and remain a non—Muslim. (7) Civilian property may be confiscated. (8) Civilian homes may be destroyed. (9) Civilian fruit trees may be destroyed. (10) Pagan Arabs had to convert or die. This does not allow for the freedom of religion or conscience. (11) People of the Book (Jews and Christians) had three options (Sura 9:29): fight and die; convert and pay a forced ‘charity’ or zakat tax; or keep their Biblical faith and pay a jizya or poll tax. The last two options mean that this immoral money flows into the Islamic treasury, to fund Muhammad’s jihadist army so why would Muhammad receive a revelation from God to dry up this money flow?
12. ALLAH rewards suicide bombers and other killers and murderers Islamic martyrdom which guarantees Paradise to those who “kill and are killed” for Allah.
13. All unbelievers are to be sentenced to Hell for all eternity.
14. Murder is only wrong if the victim is a fellow Muslim.
15. ALLAH teaches that women are fields to be used by men as they will.
16. ALLAH teaches that women are worth one half of a man.
17. ALLAH sanctions men to beat their disobedient wives.
18. ALLAH does not allow Muslims to be friends with the infidels.
19. ALLAH sanctions that Muslims must disown family members who reject Islam.
20. Thieves have their hands cut off.
21. ALLAH ordered that prisoners of war must be killed until all Arabia was conquered for Islam.
22. ALLAH sent the Angel Gabriel with his merry band of warrior Angels to bring war, death and destruction to the enemies of Islam.
23. ALLAH created a law allowing Muhammad to marry his adopted son’s wife. This law applied to all Muslim men.
24. ALLAH created a law abolishing adoption.
25. ALLAH created a law allowing Muhammad to rape slave women.
26. ALLAH created a law allowing Muhammad to possess more then 4 wives.
Of course, these are not the teachings of ALLAH (the ANTI GOD.) These are the teachings of Muhammad. The ALLAH of the Koran never existed. He was created by Muhammad. Muhammad was ALLAH (the ANTI ALLAH.)

I’ve watched many of Zakir Naik’s videos. Oh my god he is a good showman!! Very entertaining & very charismatic. And he knows his audience very well. And he is extremely well-spoken with the amazing ability to keep speaking even when he’s speaking bunk! No matter how much he’s caught in a lie he can keep speaking through it as if it never happened; quotes not only Biblical & Koranic passages with flair but also anyone from any field; yet because he moves so quick you have little or no time to fact-check. And by the time you do fact-check the discussion or debate has moved on & you’re made to look like your slow or beaten. You cannot debate verbally with as accomplished a liar as Zakir Naik! He mixes truth with lies so spectacularly well you can’t know where one ends & the other begins. You cannot play with someone who refuses to play fair. But you know I have worked in the field of psychiatry for many years & I know a good liar when I see one! I’ve met many a Zakir Naik in mental hospitals & locked psychiatric observation wards (as part of various police investigations), & he reminds me of nothing less than a very intelligent psychopath. The fact that he gets caught in lies & doesn’t break stride or even a sweat (which is common for a normal person) & simply moves on to the next lie & half-lie; this is one of several tools we use for diagnosing psychopathology.
What would really impress me would be if he accepted a written debate on Islam with Ali Sina! It is very hard to use showmanship skills, personality, entertainment, or charisma in a written debate. In a written debate you can take your time; quote your sources (& where you got them); make a cogent arguement; fact-check; &, most importantly, reply without the pressure-cooker of someone’s glib tongue & showmanship & charisma. In a written debate you have to rely on knowledge, intelligence, & a cogent arguement. In a written debate you HAVE to know what you’re talking about.
Come on Doctor (& I use that term loosely) Naik, debate Ali Sina in print! Of course you won’t (you’ve seen what happens to those who do), you would get your ass kicked, as others have.

Now on “XXX culture is so scrambled”. Actually that is what Momeen’s discussion point is, totalitarianism vs freedom.
Lets start with democracy in India and USA. There is always chaos in Delhi and Washington. Any little issue gets “scrambled” and people and media fight like dogs before settling for any final decision. Even a little man can ridicule the President or Prime Minister. An American can burn American flag (in America) without being punished. What a chaotic system. There is no unity.
On the other side, systems in Saudi Arabia and communist China are running so perfect. Decisions are made very efficiently. There is so much discipline. You rarely hear any issues from those two countries from media. What a perfect system, correct?
One system is totalitarian and will brutally kill any one who even raise their finger against the leaders. The other has liberty and freedom.
Now tell us would you rather move to America for your future or will rather go to Saudi Arabia or China to settle there for good?
INSANE TEACHINGS OF HADITH
Mohammed’s teachings are included in what is called “Hadith.” The “Hadith” is a record of Mohammed’s words and deeds according to his wives, relatives, and companions. Next to the Quran, it is the most important part of Islamic law; its teachings are just as binding.
The Hadith is recorded in many books, and by many people, not all of them are agreed upon by all Muslims. WOMEN
Women are deficient in mind and religion.
Mohammed asked some women, “Isn’t the witness of a woman equal to half that of a man?” The women said, “yes,” He said, “This is because of the deficiency of the woman’s mind. ” Vol. 3:826
Mohammed to women: “I have not seen any one more deficient in intelligence and religion than you.” Vol. 2:541
The majority of people in hell are women.
Mohammed said, “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers are women. ” Vol. 1:28, 301; Vol. 2:161; Vol. 7:124
Women are a bad omen.
Mohammed said, ” Bad omen is in the woman, the house and the horse.” Vol. 7:30
Women are harmful to men.
Mohammed said, “After me I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women.” Vol. 7:33
Women may not wear wigs.
Mohammed said, ” Don’t wear false hair for Allah sends His curse upon such ladies who lengthen their hair artificially.” Vol. 7:133
SEX AND MARRIAGE
Mohammed’s sexual strength is equal to 30 men.
Anas said, “The prophet used to visit all his wives in an hour round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number.” I asked Anas, “Had the prophet the strength for it?” Anas replied, “We used to say that the prophet was given the strength of thirty (men). ” Vol. 1:268
Mohammed married a 9 year old girl.
“Narrated Aisha that the prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old.”Vol. 7:64
Allah hurries to please Mohammed’s sexual desires.
When the Quranic verse that allows Mohammed to postpone the turn of any wife was revealed, and when Mohammed said that Allah allowed him to marry his adopted son’s wife, Aisha (one of his wives) told him, “O Allah’s Apostle I do not see but that your Lord hurries in pleasing you. ” Vol. 7:48
When a woman is divorced irrevocably, she can not return to her husband until she marries (including having sexual intercourse) with another man.
“Narrated Aisha: The wife of Rifaa Al-Qurazi came to Allah’s Apostle and said, ‘O Allah’s Apostle, Rifaa divorced me irrevocably. After him I married Abdur-Rahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi who proved to be impotent.’ Allah’s Apostle said to her, ‘Perhaps you want to return to Rifaa? Nay (You cannot return to Rifaa) until you and Abdur-Rahman (the impotent man) engage in sexual intercourse!” Vol. 7:186
HUMAN RIGHTS
Islam is to be imposed by force.
Mohammed said, “I have been ordered to fight with the people till they say, “None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and whoever says, ” None has the right to be worshipped but Allah , his life and property will be saved by me.” (otherwise it will not). Vol. 4:196
Apostasy is punishable by death.
Mohammed said, “Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him.” Vol. 9:57
A Muslim must not be killed if he kills a non-Muslim.
Mohammed said, ” No Muslim should be killed for killing a Kafir” (infidel). Vol. 9:50
Ethnic cleansing is practiced.
Mohammed said to the Jews, “You should know that the earth belongs to Allah and His Apostle (Mohammed) and I want to expel you from this land (The Arabian Peninsula), so, if anyone owns property, he is permitted to sell it.” Vol. 4:392
Mohammed’s last words at his deathbed were: “Turn the pagans (non-Muslims) out of the Arabian Peninsula.” Vol. 5:716
ETERNAL SECURITY
No assurance of Salvation.
Mohammed said. “By Allah, though I am the apostle of Allah, yet I do not know what Allah will do to me.” Vol. 5:266
God punishes a deceased if his relatives weep.
Mohammed said, “The deceased is punished because of the weeping of his relatives.” Vol. 2:375
When you speak badly about a deceased, the deceased will go to hell.
Mohammed said, “You praised this, so Paradise has been affirmed to him, and you spoke badly of this, so hell has been affirmed to him. You people are Allah’s witnesses on earth.” Vol. 2:448
Urine on your clothes will bring punishment from God.
Mohammed said, “The deceased person is being tortured in the grave not for a great thing to avoid, it is for being soiled with his urine. ” Vol. 2:460
Holy war (Jihad) is a guarantee of heaven.
Mohammed said, “The person who participates in (Holy battles) in Allah’s cause and nothing compels him to do so except belief in Allah and His Apostle, will be recompensed by Allah either with a reward, or booty (if he survives) or will be admitted to paradise (if he is killed). ” Vol. 1:35
MEDICINE
Drinking camel’s urine will make you healthy.
“The prophet ordered them to follow his camels, and drink their milk and urine , so they followed the camels and drank their milk and urine till their bodies became healthy.” Vol. 7:590
Fever is from the heat of hell.
Mohammed said, ” Fever is from the heat of hell, so put it out (cool it) with water.” Vol. 7:619
A fly in your drink is a cure.
Mohammed said, “If a housefly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease. ” Vol. 4:537
How the baby’s looks are determined.
Mohammed said, “As for the child, if the man’s discharge precedes the woman’s discharge, the child attracts the similarity of the man, and if the woman’s discharge precedes the man’s, then the child attracts the similarity of the woman.” Vol. 5:275

Islam is a totalitarian ideology whose main purpose is to conquer the world for Allah, destroy all other religions and murder all kafirs who refuse to convert to Islam. In order to mask its evil brutality Islam utilizes God to justify it’s great crimes.
Prophet Muhammad was a brutal dictator who murdered all opponents. He had followers who missed prayer burnt alive in their homes. A woman who had committed adultery was stoned to death in front of her new born baby. At massacre of Banu Qurayza, Muhammad ordered 600/900 Jews behead. Young Jewish boys pants were pulled down and those with the slightest trace of pubes were taken away and beheaded.(Abu Dawud 4390). He was a monster with no human face.
Muhammad, a monster with no human face said it would be permissible to kill a child who has no prospect of accepting Islam.
The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) used not to kill the children, so thou shouldst not kill them unless you could know what Khadir had known about the child he killed, or you could distinguish between a child who would grow up to he a believer (and a child who would grow up to be a non-believer), so that you killed the (prospective) non-believer and left the (prospective) believer aside. (Sahih Muslim 4457)
After capturing Mecca, the prophet of Islam also ordered the execution of two “singing girls” who had mocked him in verse:
“…two singing-girls Fartana and her friend who used to sing satirical songs about the apostle, so he ordered that they should be killed…” (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 819)

A Banu Nadir Jew named Ka’b al-Ashraf was actually murdered on Muhammad’s order just a few months before the entire tribe was attacked. The excuse was that he had lamented the killing of the Meccans at the Battle of Badr and responded by composing crude poems about the Muslim women:
Then he composed amatory verses of an insulting nature about the Muslim women. The apostle said…”Who will rid me of al-Ashraf?” [Another Muslim} said, “I will deal with him for you O apostle of Allah. I will kill him.” He said, “Do so if you can.” (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 550)

The apostle said, “Kill any Jew that falls into your power.” Thereupon Muhayyisa leapt upon Ibn Sunayna, a Jewish merchant with whom they had social and business relations, and killed him. Huwayyisa was not a Muslim at the time, though he was the elder brother. When Muhayyisa killed [the Jew] Huwayyisa began to beat him, saying, “You enemy of God, did you kill him when much of the fat on your belly comes from his wealth?” Muhayyisa answered, “Had the one who ordered me to kill him ordered me to kill you I would have cut your head off.” This was the beginning of Huwayyisa’s acceptance of Islam… [Huwayyisa] replied exclaimed, “By God, a religion which can bring you to this is marvelous!” and he became a Muslim. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 554)
Muhammad was told about the various murders, including that of the sleeping shepherd whose only “crime” was to say that he would never be Muslim. He reaction:
{Muhammad] laughed so that one could see his back teeth. He asked me the news and when I told him what had happened, he blessed me. (Tabari 1441)

Muhammad ordered the death of captive Uqba bin Abu Mu’ayt brought before him.Uqba bin Abu Mu’ayt pled for his life:
“When the apostle ordered him to be killed, Uqba said, “But who will look after my children, O Muhammad?” [Muhammad’s reply] “Hell.” The man was put to death. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 458)

We went with the apostle on the raid of Dhatu’l-Riqa of Nakhl and a man killed the wife of one of the polytheists. When the apostle was on his way back, her husband, who had been away, returned and heard the news of her death. He swore that he would not rest until he had taken vengeance. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 665)
Muhammad ordered a Jewish woman put to death for literally losing her mind while the male members of her family were being beheaded (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 691). There were also several women that the prophet of Islam ordered killed for adultery. One example:
He went to her in the morning and she made a confession. And Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) made pronouncement about her and she was stoned to death. (Sahih Muslim 4209)

Muhammad ordered the death of an elderly man named Abu Afak. Abu Afak was said to be 120 years old. His “crime” was to compose satirical poetry about Muhammad in protest of the many assassinations that the prophet of Islam had ordered.
For “showing disaffection,” Abu Afak himself became Muhammad’s next victim:
The apostle said, “Who will deal with this rascal for me?” Whereupon [a follower] went forth and killed him. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 995).
The official reason is that Abu Afak, “gave the lie to Allah’s religion.” The assassin is said to have mocked his victim by thrusting the knife into the body while saying, “take that, Abu Afak, in spite of your age.” (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 995)
The captured women included Umm Qirfa:
She was a very old woman, wife of Malik. Her daughter [and another] were also taken. Zayd ordered Qays to kill Umm Qirfa and he killed her cruelly by putting a rope between her legs and to two camels and driving them until they rent her in two). (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 980)
Yet another elderly man was murdered following Muhammad’s order to kill anynon-Muslim who remained in Mecca following his capture of the city in 630. (The earlypart of the Qur’an’s ninth chapter commands the slayings). The man’s death is recorded in Bukhari:
The Prophet recited Suratan-Najm (103) at Mecca and prostrated while reciting it and those who were with him did the same except an old man who took a handful of small stones or earth and lifted it to his forehead and said, “This is sufficient for me.” Later on, I saw him killed as a non-believer. (Bukhari 19:173)

Muhammad sent one of his men to Yemen with a military force, where a local pagan leader was told, “Testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, or else I will chop off your neck.” (Bukhari 59:643)

This hadith provides the context for the Qur’anic verse (4:24):
The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives.
Some of the Companions of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) were reluctant to have intercourse with the female captives in the presence of their husbands who were unbelievers. So Allah, the Exalted, sent down the Qur’anic verse: (Sura 4:24) “And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hands possess.” (Abu Dawud 2150, also Muslim 3433)

The women of the Banu Mustaliq were sold into slavery following their rape:
“We went out with Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) on the expedition to the Bi’l-Mustaliq and took captive some excellent Arab women; and we desired them, for we were suffering from the absence of our wives, (but at the same time) we also desired ransom for them. So we decided to have sexual intercourse with them but by observing ‘azl (Withdrawing the male sexual organ before emission of semen to avoid-conception). But we said: We are doing an act whereas Allah’s Messenger is amongst us; why not ask him? So we asked Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him), and he said: It does not matter”(Sahih Muslim 3371)
In fact, female slaves were traded like any other simple commodity by Muhammad and his band of devoted followers:
“Then the apostle sent Sa-d b. Zayd al-Ansari, brother of Abdu’l-Ashal with some of the captive women of Banu Qurayza to Najd and he sold them for horses and weapons.” (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham/Hisham 693)

slaves.
There came a slave and pledged allegiance to Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him)
on migration; he (the Holy Prophet) did not know that he was a slave. Then there came
his master and demanded him back, whereupon Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him)
said: Sell him to me. And he bought him for two black slaves, and he did not afterwards
take allegiance from anyone until he had asked him whether he was a slave (or a free
man) (Sahih Muslim 3901).
The apostle told them to tell Malik that if he came to him as a Muslim he would return
his family and property to him and give him a hundred camels. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 879)
The apostle gave Ali a girl called Rayta; and he gave Uthman a girl called Zaynab; and
he gave Umar a girl whom Umar gave to his son Abdullah. (Ibn Ishaq/Hisham 878)
The Prophet sent for a woman from the emigrants and she had a slave who was a
carpenter. The Prophet said to her “Order your slave to prepare the wood (pieces) for the
pulpit.” So, she ordered her slave who went and cut the wood from the tamarisk and
prepared the pulpit, for the Prophet. When he finished the pulpit, the woman informed
the Prophet that it had been finished. The Prophet asked her to send that pulpit to him, so
they brought it. The Prophet lifted it and placed it at the place in which you see
now. (Bukari 47:743)

A Jewish woman used to insult the Prophet and say bad things about him, so a man strangled her until she died, and the Prophet ruled that no blood money was due in this case. (Abu Dawud 4349)

The legitimacy of “marrying” pre-pubescent girls who have not yet had their “monthly courses” is established both in the Qur’an and in the “perfect example” set by Muhammad for his Muslim followers.
The Qur’an:
Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same) (65:4)
The rule concerns divorce, which obviously implies marriage. Muhammad wanted believing men to observe a three month waiting period before evicting their wives, to make sure that they weren’t pregnant.
Muhammad elsewhere encouraged his men to marry “young girls” for sexual pleasure:
“Allah’s Apostle said to me, “Have you got married O Jabir?” I replied, “Yes.” He asked “What, a virgin or a matron?” I replied, “Not a virgin but a matron.” He said,”Why did you not marry a young girl who would have fondled with you?” (Bukhari59:382)
Lest there be any doubt by what he meant by “young,” Muhammad set the example by marrying and having sex with Aisha when she was only 9-years-old:
‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: “Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine.” (Sahih Muslim 3309) This is confirmed in many other hadith as well.
According to the most reliable traditions, Aisha brought her dolls to Muhammad’s house for play (Muslim 3341) and he would fondle the little girl in the tub while taking baths with her (Bukhari 6:298). Aisha was just a teenager by the time Muhammad died, but she had already spent over half her life in marriage to him
Even worse for Muslims is that part of the Qur’an was actually “revealed” while Muhammad was in bed with this little girl:
[Muhammad said] “…the Divine Inspirations do not come to me on any of the beds except that of Aisha.” (Bukhari 47:755)

Right. I cannot stuck myself up with a 1400 year old barbaric system, so I keep myself updated. Totalitarianism is definitely a concept which sprung up during the early 20th century. Also, cult as a concept of sociological research gained momentum only in the early 20th century. If I had opted to remain ignorant then I could never have realized the extent to which a mind could be manipulated- that’s the capability of a cult. Because of scrutiny, today I know that Islam is fascist, supremacist, racist and sexist.
Western sexual decadence cannot be used as an excuse for Islamic religious thuggery. The women of Islamic countries should tell how holy their men are, not others. I know how Muslims merrily close their eyes when it comes to abuse of women and children in Islamic countries and here I’m talking only about the Muslim women, I cannot even dare to imagine the plight of women belonging to the minority communities. If you report a rape in Saudi Arabia, the rape victim gets hundred lashes; in Pakistan, Hudood ordinance which mandated the rape victim to present four male witnesses to prove the assault was scrapped only in 2006. Volumes could be written on women’s condition in Islamic countries.
In the case of gay marriage, sorry, I would call it nature’s aberration and definitely not the individual’s crime. If he/ she feels attracted only towards his or her own gender then that’s part of God’s creation. When such people are strong enough to stand up against all cultural, religious and social taboos- their honesty needs to be appreciated and not humiliated. I see the Will of God in them.
Finally, there is no religion which could be called as ‘perfect’. Each religion has its own positive and negative shades. But no faith is so venomous towards its non-believers as Islam is and that defines the inferno that has engulfed the Islamic countries.

Research and rationality- what else to say? Born in a moderately pious family, made to read Quran, offer namaaz, observe roza- I grew up as a devout Muslim and moved on to become an ex-Momeen! Even when I was a religious Muslim, I never accepted the theory that only Islamic way of praying led to heaven- I was born to Muslim parents, so I pray in this way but my Hindu friends were taught in different kind and they follow that, what’s wrong? But the theology ordered me that there is only one way of prayer methodology for the entire world to pursue, else they were destined to hell- the concept was simply strangulating. My philosophy that God would not discriminate on the basis of how you pray rather on how much you contribute was vehemently opposed by everyone- this was in the moderately religious house-hold, imagine how it would be in a conservative circle. I wondered who was incorrect and the journey began! When I was struggling if only I was questioning Islam, I understood there were already individuals who questioned and were being hounded for daring to protest. Internet opened up a new world and illuminated the battling mind. Ali Sina proved to be a beacon of light. By this time Alqaeda and Taliban occupied the screen space and were teaching the entire world about the theology. Now Boko Haram and ISIS are proving how kind Alqaeda and Taliban were!
We are indoctrinated from infancy; hence to question and quit is a Herculean task. I thank God for blessing me with that rationale.
