Hi there, thank you for sharing your story. I can totally understand your situation. Iā€™m hindu guy 23 years old and my gf is Sikh and we both are together from long time now. We are going to marry next year. I would never stop her celebrating any sikh festival. We both are open minded, its obvious sometimes we all have to make sacrifices for our loved ones and I really dont mind bringing up my kids with both the religion and I also told her that you dont have to change your religion and you are allowed to follow your rituals, I dont have any problem. We do understand each other very well and she is very supportive, Iā€™m very lucky to have her šŸ™‚ Thank you. -Shivam

    Shivam,

There is no problem in the marriages of Sikh and Hindu partners.

Hindu religion is more submissive to changes and accepting the sentiments of each other. I being a muslim female, leading a blissful life with my Hindu husband, enjoying all sorts of freedom and privieleges, which I could not even thought of marrying with a muslim guy. Both partners must be committed to each other and respecting sentiments and emotions and ready to face all ups and downs of life together.

Best of luck and happy married life.

    Shivam,
Lucky you that she is not a Christian or Muslim, otherwise you would be taking about religious conversion today.

There is some major problem with most of youths from those two faiths that they are love-Jihadi. Let us explain. First they pose as open minded and secular. Once you get into love, they start that I don’t care but it is my parents and now you have to convert. We live in sad state of life.

Please come to educate others to give a priority to love and not man-made religions.

You are right. If she was Muslim or Christian she surely would have told me that you have to convert. I dont understand why people change their religion for their loved ones. You have to respect your partners religion and never ever have to force her/him for conversion. If you don’t respect your partners religion, you are never going to respect her. Nobody has the right to convert anyone forcefully.Yes, I have seen many cases first they pose as open minded and then they start I dont care stuff.. I have seen these things mostly in Muslims.

This is very true, “pose as open minded and then they start”, unfortunately for them the spread of their religion is more important than humanity and love and respect for all. Please join here exposing all those love-Jihadis.
