im also married to a muslim and i was with him since 11th grade and he is as good and i wuld add that he is better than any other hindu guy he does everything for me jst to make me smile not evry muslim is same there exist muslim who are bonafide in their thoughts and behaviour.

Im still hindu and he encourages me to continue to b hindu we celebrate every festival together with his family participating actively we nver have conflicts regarding religion his family is really very understanding . We met in physics tutions in 11 th gade then we did our college together . I knew it would be really difficult to make everyone agree to this marriage so i decided to clear PCSJ compition i dropped one year for preparations then subsequently i cleared the examination now i am a district judge . Hence no one could say anything about my choice as i am in good position this was all my parents also wanted that is to see me in judicial position . By doing this i saved my relation with him and my parents.

And as long as our marriage is concerned we did it under special marriage act and gave a reception to all frnds and family. Its only been 1 yr of marriage but we are together since 6 yrs. we dont have children yet. -Sty

Well, no i dont at all have problem in communicating with or gelling up with his family they (Muslim parents) never forced him to do a Nikah nor he ever told me that he wanted to do a Nikah. he is happy as long as we r together. They(in laws) are very much modern and are really reputed in XXXX so their thinking is equally in standard . We have predecided that if their would b a boy child then he’ll grow up as a muslim but after attaining majority it will be upon his discretion to choose which ever religion he wants but if we hav girl child she’ll be raised as hindu for sure. As long as muslim law is concerned male child shall be raised as muslim only well on that point we are breaching a part of it and leaving the decision on the child to choose whichever religion he wants. And yes! Thanks all for ur wonderful comments and support. -Sty

    Dear Judge Sty,

It is our honor that such distinguished person like you join our forum to discuss Interfaith Marriage With EQUALITY. Yes, your’s is one of few successful married examples on this site. We wish you best. Lets work here to define what interfaith married life should be right on this forum. Please come to help other youths in love here.

Was there any request from his family to have an Islamic Nikaah? Are they okay with their son not have Nikaah and married? Are you in good terms with his Islamic parents and community?

When are you planning for a baby? Will the baby have a pre- (meaning Dharmic) or post-Arabic (meaning Muslim) name? Will the baby have a circumcision? Will the child be taken to mandir and mosque and taught from Koran and Gita equally (we hope!)?
