Christian: My family is insisting for conversion

Armstrong Munuswamy says: December 30, 2012 at 10:26 am

I AM A CHIRISTIAN PLANNING TO MARRY A BUNT (TULU) GIRL.

We have software professionals and was in love for nearly 3 years. My parents are ok with the marriage but there is stiff resistance from the girl’s family. I introduced oneday the girl to my family and every one was very happy. Some one even said she is the most beautiful girl they have even seen. I am not particular that the girl should converted to Christianity eventhough my family is insisting for conversion. After reading the article above I feel little shaky and in a dilemma what to do. Expect valaubale suggestion. -Armstrong

You Christians are as bad as a Muslim man who demands it without fail. Conversion is a condition an individual should not take up as an incentive facilitating marriage. The converted individual is then a wounded soul and that hurt will haunt the marriage forever.

You should have honored her Hindu religion as part of the package. After having a ‘goodtime’ with her you suddenly remembered her faith. How come her faith didnt turn you off at the outset? Were your preferences different then?

Go marry a christian and prevent this love jihad. There is no love to begin with, right? This is all exploitation of innocnet women, imo.

Hindu women are the most gullible, it appears. -suma

Suma is right, this is nothing but a love-Jihad. You are out for love-proselytizm for the benefit of your church, and if that Tulu girl don’t convert, you are sure to dump her. After 3 years of love and having good times with the girl, now all of a sudden you are “shaky” because the girl will not convert easily. SHAME ON YOU.

If you are a man with some dignity and believe in humanity, marry her by civil registered marriage and then what ever religious marriages but absolutely without religious conversion or expectation of the children’s baptism labeling (NO BBS).

Please spread the message of love and respect to ALL. Don’t be an exclusivist (Gandhi cannot go to heaven because he was not a Christian), be pluralist.

Follow Jesus not the church! Read great messages Jesus gave in chapters Matthew, Mark and Luke of the Bible. Don’t believe the hearsay (by Peter, Paul, Moses and your priest) in other chapters of the Bible.

  • Jesus was not dogmatic and never asked any one to be baptized.
  • He believed in freedom and was not exclusivist like today’s churches.
  • He first time included all gentiles to the God’s kingdom.
  • He also included all non-circumcised people, that LORD God said to Abrahim not to (Genesis 17:11).
  • Jesus said it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:12). The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath (Mark 2:27). Apparently Jesus was interested in your karma, not dogmas.
  • Further, Moses’ 2nd Commandment states LORD God is Jealous and He will punish if you pray to other gods (Exodus 20:4-5). Jesus changed this 2nd commandment to “love thy neighbors” (Matthew 22:39); further, he added, “There is no commandment greater than these” (Mark 12:31), how beautiful!!
  • In general, the LORD God loved animal burned offering and animal sacrifices. To that Jesus clarified that “…to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the Whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.” (Mark 12:33)
  • Jesus focused more on being a good person rather than criticizing “other” gods or following dogmas blindly. Such loving message will certainly bring peace and harmony amongst Hindu-Christian-Muslim-Sikh and others.
  • Jesus believed in love, not in jealously. If Jesus was right in front of you today, probably he would not tell you to baptize that Tulu girl, but to love her for what she is.

Follow Jesus not the church! -Admin

There is a post somewhere here , the Admin can help locate it , wherein a Kerala hindu woman was taken to Canada and was harassed by the christian man,who she left and went on her own.Hindu women are the most gullible it appears.
