I am christian and my boyfriend hindu..we love each other and engaged. his parents knows but asking to marry later cos his dad is very sick and cant get any stress..But i cant wait cos i am pregnant..one day he said he get to know i need to convert but by pregnancy not allowed..than’s why he said we cant marry..he left me… but till now i think its possible to marry..maybe i dont know indian law..i ask someone for advise -Mariia

It is his dharm(law) to take the responsibility to bring up the child in accordance with each other. Sanatan dharm doesn’t require conversion as it is a way of life. It is to have faith in karma(acts). Even an atheist whose acts are justified is a hindu. Gandharwa vivaah(love marriage) has already taken place between you too as it has resulted as a fruit in your womb.

Getting pregnant before proper understanding relationship is a bad start. There are many bad element in this world and are interested in sex and nothing more. We hope your boy friend is not like that but you got to be careful.
We do not know which country you are from and where he is currently. There are many wrong information you got. We are not very clear by your statement “he said he get to know i need to convert”. There is no reason for any one of you to convert. Many people uses this excuse “dad is very sick and cant get any stress”, are you sure about it? Further, “by pregnancy not allowed..than’s why he said we can’t marry”, that is wrong, one could marry the other any time. You asked, “maybe i dont know indian law”, basically Indian laws (Special Marriage Act 1954) are same as most secular court marriage laws of most Western countries. Thank u for y help..Like he just said in condition of his dad sickness not good to marry with nonhindu..cos it can affect all family…non of his parents dont know about pregnancy..He explained to me like he has 2 lifes to choose or life of dad or our kid..and as it appears kid not so important..hw was asking to abort on 15 weeks..as nothing..then said we have to make evrthg as normal people..he said i have to be hindu but being pregnant conversion not allowed…so he refused to marry.We both seamen..got accuaited and together 1.5 years even were living together…like a family..befor he was telling that ready even to go from home for me and kid..and now saying he is eldest son..after his dead he and his wife hindu have lead family..Till now i dont know wat to do with kid…feel i cant live without my man..like if i kill we can be happy…but i cant cos its life inside me from big love
First there is no reason to convert and second there is no law we know that you cannot start practicing Hinduism when you are pregnant. don’t think of “if i kill”, you must find a solution and soon.
