My father and brother threaten to kill me…

Hi Gurpreet, I was in the same to same situation, i loved a hindu Punjabi guy. But there was lot of problem for marriage, my father and brother threaten to kill me if I married him,

i was also taught that all religion are same, but islam does not consider every religion same.

If you are saying you converted I cant believe you are happy, because in islam they make life hell unless you become muslim, have kids soon etc.

My (Hindu) husband does not force me into his religion and i have started to see what islam always kept hidden. I know now that there are many gods not allah only, Hinduism is the oldest and Christian religion is after that and last came islam, which was created to enforce no one converts outside. My friend who are educated and chose a open minded hindu husband, have come to same conclusion. So in my view you are going to suffer big time, or else you are muslim acting as sikh. Sikh girls are very religious.

I am educated girl and understand what is right and whats wrong. I also see many hypocrites in this site who say muslims are peaceful but muslims also are saying to kill that girl Shamim who married a hindu, so moral is clear hypocrisy needs to be removed from muslim community.

I was also raised in muslim community, believe me its a very dirty and communal place to live. Girls have no respect there. Thanks god i am free now. -Anees Ibrahim.

Annes, thanks for sharing your experience. Can you clarify little more?

You mentioned “my father and brother threaten to kill me if I married him” – how did you managed to remain alive!! –how did you manage to marry a Hindu?

How did you get married? Hindu wedding, Nikaah or court marriage?

You said, “i was also taught that all religion are same”. Who taught you that? You said you were raised in Muslim community, meaning are you a born Muslim?

You said “Thanks god i am free now” Free from what? Today, do you consider yourself a Muslim? Hindu? pluralist, both? Atheist?

Now you learned that “there are many Gods, not allah only”. Is it good or bad? Now being a part of Hindu family, how do you see many forms of the God praying system? Do you see this as a freedom to pray or superstition? Can God be other than male? Is Goddess Laxmi God? Do you consider other than Allah-worship (including Jesus worship) as idol worship? Do you feel comfortable praying to the God in direction other than Saudi Arabia?

What will you teach to your children about the God? Is there one God and one cannot and should not see Him (or Her or It) in any other form? Is Jesus a (son of) God? Is Krishna a God? What Koran on Hindus? means to you? -Admin.

Believe in Allah, but not in Muhammad. Accept the good things of Quraan but not everything of it. The irrational things must be discarded.

As Ayesha has said in Quran its written that one should hit his wife , which holy book recommends wife beating?Bhagvad gita never says that.GOD SAID THAT WOMEN ARE DEROGATORY TO MEN IN QURAN.so how can god be so inhuman or partial?its not a book by God in any case.its written by humans only i feel.Allah exists we all agree.many parts of Quran are excellent.but what about such statements written in it which is bad for females?

@Anees:happy that u finally married ur luv.n he is open minded.is also excellent.mostly Hindu guys specially educated ones never have a problem with other faiths.its their upbringing.I dont say Hindu are free from evil acts.Honour Killings do happen in Hindus.its a shame to our country.n i hate people who kill others for the sake of honour.but still beware from ur family members.God bless u both.Muslims are orthodox in thinking.its due to their religion.it can never be changed unless their holy book is changed because it teaches them violence.

There are a lot of women who feel “free” google Nonie Darwish, she has a book called “Cruel and Usual Punishment” that deals with Muslim marriage and other sharia laws. Wafa Sultan feels free. Walid Shoebat, Kamal Saleem, Ibn Warraq, and Ali Sina — all feel free. Google them and you can find a shared story. There is a conference called “Summer Night for Human Rights” you can watch online as ex-Muslims talk about the death threats they received and their attempt to go to Muslim leaders to get the apostasy death threat removed.
