Muslim: I am in love with a Sinhally Srilankan boy

Nagma says: January 12, 2013 at 7:14 am

Hi I am Nagma 29 years originally from an asian muslim country, now working in the the DFO Homebush, Sydney, Australia.

I am in love with a Sinhally Srilankan boy, who is quite compatible to in all respects, like minded, highly qualified, well mannered, polite and sincere too. My parents are opposed to marry him, but I donot want to marry a muslim guy who are notorious in dealing with their spouses. I have sexually enjoyed with him too. He wants that we should marry now as early as possible. Being in Australia and independent, I dont mind, even if I am disowned.

Seeking your advice please. -Nagma

Nagma,

You have already expressed yourself for what the Koran is all about here. This mean you are not going to teach your children messages of Muhammad or follow in his foot-steps, especially to your daughter.

If that boy is Sinhally, meaning he may be a Buddhist or a Hindu. Basically, he is a pluralist who has learned to respect all human beings. We are sure he will respect all your religious feelings and treat you with love and dignity.

After all that is said above, we hope, in the end you are not going to ask that pluralist to become an exclusivist (Shahadah: there is only one God and Muhammad is his apostle) by him becoming a Muslim just to please your parents. Best wishes. -Admin

Hi Admin, thanks for the advice.

We shall be tying the knot by court marriage followed by reception dinner. I donot like teachings of Mohammad or Koran scipts that is not favourable for muslim women, rather they are how crush wishes of females.

I would like my kids to adopt sinhally religion. I shall not convert but respect to my husband’s religious sentiments too. Kids shall be taught good teachings of Hinduism and budhdhism and above all humanitarian approach in all walks of life. -Nagma

you are well come to Sinhally culture which is more tolerable and have empathy to others. If you wish to continue with your born Islamic culture that will not be jeopardize your family life, as I’ve seen many of my friends who are married to Muslim women are still following Islamic teaching while they are attending to Buddhist religious culture.
Buddhism is after all middle path has no extreme ends in life.

    4. History of Womens’ Status
There were exceptions to the rule, even during the Vedic Dark Ages following the collapse of the Indus civilization. Eastern India (Purvadesha), including Bengal, with its majority Mon-Khmer population, was only slightly Aryanized. The Shakti cult(mother-goddess) predominated (75 % of all the idolatrous population is sill Shaktis), and women here had a much higher degree of freedom. Thus for instance they were not required to wear the veil. Shakti (or Tantric) cults involved the worship of women, and the acceptance of their supremacy. Needless to say, the Shakti cult was only limited to Bengal and Assam. The Dravidian women were also freeer. Malabar was a center of the Tantric form of the Shiva-Shakti cult, and matriarchal customs still prevail. Till recently, polyandry existed.
Besides these two islands, the rest of India confirmed to the picture given above. This lasted until the establishment of the Islamic Califate of Hindustan in the 12th century AD. Muslims came to form more than 50 % of the population of Hindustan proper (India north of the Narmada), and under Islam the status of women improved considerably.
In modern times the degradation of womens’ status is related to the rise in Hindu Fundamentalism (in actual fact a thinly disguised form of Aryan Fanaticism). The extremist organizations that comprise the Sangh Parivar (BJP, RSS, Bajrang Dal, Ranvir Sena, VHPetc.) are reviving the practice of Sati, dowry, female infanticide etc. in various parts of India. Thus, in modern times the status of women has declined sharply due to the activities of Hindu (ie. Aryan) Fundamentalist organizations. A wife, a son, a slave , these are declared to have no property; the wealth which they earn is (acquired) for him to whom theybelong. Manu 8.416 Manu 8.299 [ A wife, a son, a slave, a pupil and a (younger) broher of the full blood, who have committed faluts, may be beaten with a rope or a split babmboo. 9.77 ? WHen he crearted them) Manu allotted to women (a love of theur) bed, (of their( seat nd (of) ornament, impure desires, wrath, dishonesty, malice and bad conduct

    Hello Admn.

Thanks for making exclusive blogs like ISLAMIC WOMEN TODAY AND HYMEN REPAIR SURGERY, the burning issues for muslim girls now a days.

Please make a separate blog for Use of Artificial Hymen Kit, so that more and more educative contribution is made by our learned sisters.

      Abida,
Thanks for feedbacks, but the main focus of this web site is IM-WE (Interfaith Marriage with Equality) and thus we do not want to go too off line from our main objective.

    Nagma,
How are you planning to get married by?
What are you planning to teach to your children for who is the God?
If your children ask you what is your religion, what will you tell them?
