Well, I am also a Christian and my boyfriend is Hindu too. Both parents are against us. Especially my parents r full against it. They even let me go anywhhr alone. Thinking I might run away. But he is from diff state. So staying in other place nd working there. We hardly meet 4,5 times in a year. and since his parents are pressuring him to marry soon, but not with me.

He keeps asking me to hurry n get marred with him soon. But how can I marry now if my parents r totally against. I thought if he only understands and wait till my parents says on atlas. -Ayn

    Hi

Im from a conservative religious Hindu family.
    I myself follow vaishnavism, Krishna.
This year I meet girl from ukraine. She is Catholik.Very religious.
I tried to explain my girl that due to differences in faith and culture we cannot marry. But she was very attached and willing to live with me in India in our home.
I invited her to my house last month, we had many issues especially with my parents.
My parent not agree that i marry someone outside my religion. But my lady was very much insisted. She also tried her best to adjust herself with me.
So in the end we decide to marry and pray to God so that we can reconcile our differences and lie happily.
We plan to have both weddigs.
We have clearly agreed on ‘No to Baptism’. Me or my children. Her church just wanted me to be informed my wife should stay as christian and I cannot put any obstacle to her going to church / my child learning christianity.
    This regul has any impact?
I have been clearly told my marriage in church will be just some ring exchange , blessing and promises.

Later i will have full hindu traditional marriage , she agreed to follow everything.

I believe in interfaith marriages we need to respect others faith. What you think?

I’m 22 malayali Syrian Christian (protestants) and my girlfriend’s is from a Hindu background by birth, she is being following Christianity from her 10th standard. I love her and lot and she is ready to formally convert into Christianity

Talking about my family, most of the people are pastors, my mom is emotionally blackmailing me and take this caste and community for its sake and mainly the society. Is there any solution for this because I don’t want to loose her. Please help me out

We are not clear “my mom is emotionally blackmailing me and take this caste and community for its sake,” when the Hindu is willing to convert, what is the problem with your mom? Does she want you to marry only a Syrian Christian? This is insane.

How about the girl’s parents, are they okay she converting to Christianity?

    Hi Ayn,

Don’t run away and tell your bf not to pressure you.

It is easy to get married but very difficult to maintain long marriage life for next 80 some years. For this reason, do NOT rush.

First tell us what does religion and Jesus means to you. More specifically, tell us
    1) Do you must marry in a church only? What will you do if your boy friend says he will not marry in a church?
    2) What will you tell your children for who is Jesus and Krishna?
These questions will prepare you better for your life. Get back to us soon. Best wishes.
