The answer is big NO, unless you move out of Malaysia. As a humane being, he does not have any more rights left to choose his faith; even Muslims claim that there is no compulsion in Islam. This is a very sad state of the world we live in. On one side, Muslims in India and West are demanding equality (and more) from their non-Muslim counter parts but as soon as when Muslims have majority in any country, they will impose Sharia laws favoring Muslims only and marginalizing non-Muslims. One day, France will also be in the same state as Malaysia. In the West, all moderate Muslims keep quiet about injustices in Muslim majority countries to non-Muslims. Readers should learn Malaysian laws here and let us know how it is equality to all? We just boil over this injustice and even thinking this makes us sick. We hope moderate Muslims will debate with us here. –Admin

Admin, I don’t know who “admin” is, but you are a bigot, who is constantly bashing muslims. Obviously Interfaith marriage site has changed in the years I’ve been away, I don’t think muslims, christians or any non Hindu faiths should waste their time on this site.

Sorry if you felt this way, however thank you for correcting us. We have consulted some 700+ youths in love with Muslim and we have seen consistent story of non-Muslim must convert or must raise children only in Islamic faith. Yes, there are a few (one? eg. ViratHindu) cases where the Hindu also wishes to convert the Muslim for marriage. To the best of our recollection, only 3 out of 700, Seema, Salman and Shamim, are the ones on this web site demonstrated interfaith marriage with equality. We feel there is something wrong here for the practice of expectation of conversion for marriage. Further, we do not have any respect for what Malay majority Muslims have done to marginalize minorities. Hiddush conducted Freedom of Marriage survey and found severe marriage restrictions in Israel (1/1) and also in Muslim (62%; 33/53), Christian (7%; 8/120), but not in Hindu/Buddhist (0%; 0/14) nations. Why there is a big difference based on religions? Is the difference by chance or by design?
