Found Islam ,Found Tranquility in life and Purnima becomes Maryam

Iam a recent convert to Islam from hinduism which I never follower or practicised ,I developed interest in Islam from my graduation days during collage ,than reading quran ,hadith and sufism had a great positive effect on my mind I found Islam enchanting and a faith which I can follow , besides that other books by Maulana Wahiduddin Khan, bayana of Tareeq jamil .As time progressed I found more closer myself to Islam I started keeping fasting during Ramadan (ofcourse hidden from friends and family) , as time progressed in my life Islam became an integral part of my life despite being a non muslim I started to think myself as muslim ..I learnt Wudu ,Salah ,Wore Hijab and abaya ,Interacted with Muslim ,learnt many things from them and they were very helpful and quick to respond my queries which helped me immensly in my journey towards Islam and in the mean time my graduation was over I got a good job

Didn’t realised when Purnima became Maryam ..I accepted Islam 15 days ago at hyderabad in an Islamic center with help of a muslim friend during my official trip and had a great experience living as muslimah for couple of days ..Now Iam looking forward to come out to parents about my reversion to Islam and once they approve , I change my official status as Muslim

indeed it has been a great journey last 6 years and looking ahead challanges ahead in life which may come because of my transformation ..thanks to Allah for all this and I have reading this blog for some time and challanges with couples in inter religious marriage ..

May Allah bless us all ..Ameen

////We like Koranic simple and modest message of following Allah, however regarding Muhammad, we do not know much but not in favor of him having some 20-30 women in his life (correct us with exact number that you know) and brutality towards others (like year 627 to Jews) under the name of war. Can we be a Muslim by submitting to Allah but keep Muhammad out of the picture? Or, it is a package deal, both comes together? //////

For you it might a package deal but for me Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) who gave Islam to the world as Per will of Allah , so Islam cannot be complete without prophet and Allah .

Taking multiple wife was common during that era atleast Muhammed Saheb Married a widow Khadijah and gave her support unlike in hinduism where Widows are treated as good as dirt , Iam not aware about history much untill I study myself I can’t say anything and yes Jews are very good in playing victims and its very easy for them ,since they control most of media worldwide

////A Hindu woman wearing sari with her head cover (plenty in villages) is not modest?////

every one knows that they are forced to do that else they will be called unruly and nothing about modesty in hinduism

so nothing about modesty if its forced ,

////? A Christian nun wearing full face and body cover is not modest? ///

Only nuns , what about mainstream christians women ?

      Hi admin

first correct the title ..My hindu name was “Purnima ” not purina

Iam fine with my Muslim name “maryam ” a name which depicts my Muslim and will remain throughout my life , so no need to change

this has been very informative blog shedding light on interfaith relationship
the biggest learning was that without any knowledge or interest for faith people jump and convert and they suffer at later stage

rest things on my other post …

What do you mean by “on my other post”? What was the name that you used earlier?

What was your interest in religion? Where did it start? Did you had/have a Muslim boyfriend?

Tell us 1) do you believe in the Judgment Day, 2) do you believe non-Muslim will get hell-fire, 3) Koran is 100% truth, while other religions are fake, and 4) this world was created in 2+4 days and Darwin’s Law of Evaluation is wrong? We like to learn and follow in your footsteps.

          hi ..

Admin , again its not purima but “PURNIMA” spell it right

other post meant ..writing in small Phrases will make easier for others to read .

Two things made me interested in Islam first was Salah (Namaz ) , I liked the way Muslim used to do prayers five times a day , Next was the way Muslim woman dressed in Hijab and abaya ..in a very modest way , So inquiring about these two aspects of Islam , took me closer to Islam and I ended up being as “Maryam “

            Great.

A Hindu woman wearing sari with her head cover (plenty in villages) is not modest? A Christian nun wearing full face and body cover is not modest?

Thank you for educating. We are happy that you found Koran your new spiritual guide. May be our ignorance but we read koran and found disturbing to read harsh treatment to unbelievers (read). Who are these unbelievers? Are most Hindus unbelievers as described in the Koran?
