Hindu in Relationship with a Muslim

I’m in a relationship with a Muslim guy. We were like best friends for years, and recently he had proposed me. I had feelings for him before too, but the inter-religion thing pushed me from having such thoughts. But he was my best friend, I loved him—and it was like the best thing to know that he loves me too. So I accepted his proposal and we’re together for about 3 months. But even my friends say that u guys know each othr so much, doesnt seem its only few months long relationship. We are greatly compatible with each other, and I want to spend my entire life with him. He is the only one I trust so much. And he also said me, he wants to stay with me–and he is also ready for court marriage for future (I don’t need to convert). So, is it okay to be with him? Cause I really love him. Our mother tongue is also same, family backgrounds, food habits are quite similar and we both are academically good. —

We are still too young for that (meeting parents). But both of my and his parents are well educated. Hope they will understand. And there’s still 8-9 years for us to stand on our feet, then get married. Hopefully, by that time people will be more understanding and broadminded. –Twinkle

Thank you so much.
What he said is, I will not have to convert into Islam.
I will have all my independence, like to carry out my job, etc.
We will stay together but not in the town where his and my parents reside.
And lastly, he has no objection to which God I pray.
He said he is an atheist, he has no faith on outdated customs, and he respects all religion. –Twinkle

    Hello,

We will believe everything after you get us a confirmation that his parents agreed to your Special Marriage Act, 1954. He may be like a lion in front of you, but may be like a goat in front of his parents. Find out that he will be with you and not against when his parents are around. You go and meet his parents personally. Let us know what you learned.

Meantime, tell us how your case will be different compared to Nusrat? https://www.interfaithshaadi.org/?p=7828
