Roshan,

Luckily you live in a free secular country and thus there is no issue if two adults want to get married. Just go through the Spacial Marriage Act 1954 marriage registration. Simple!

Well, Interfaith marriages are never simple.

She is a Muslim and you are a Christian. First you have to come to terms if Jesus is an apostle or Son of God? Koran says believing that Jesus was a son of God is a monstrous falsehood. Further, Koran says not to make friends with Christians. If she does not accept that Jesus is a Son of Allah (God or Isvara), then she is invalidating Christianity.

Does she have to get married in your church? If so, the church will make her sign a pre-Nuptial agreement that children from this marriage will be raised only as Christian. Is she ready to sign such one sided contract? Is she willing to end her Muslim heritage and start a new Christian heritage?

If she, a Muslim, marries to a Christian, that Muslim-Christian marriage is not valid in Iran. You cannot travel with her to Iran. If she goes there after marriage, her parents may not allow her to come back to India. So, is she willing to stay in India for good?

Read on all these Christian-Muslim marriages and you will learn more. Let us know who else we could help you. -Admin

She could stay in India for the Visa period (4-6 months) and do only what she stated in the visa application (like tourist).

    Hey Roshan,

Get a lawyer, and he will tell you what all is required. A Lawyer would give the best advice.

First of all thank you very much for Admin / Truth for your reply. Please be informed that she is not that much religious and she don’t have any problem for marrying me. After marriage she don’t want to go back to Iran and she want to stay with me in India only. So there is no much problem if her parents didn’t allow our marriage. Also her parents allow her to come to Indian for her higher studies, no problem with that.

      Roshan,
Are you planning to get married in your church? Does she know that she will have to sign a pre-Nuptian agreement as a condition to marry in a church?

Is she okay to teach her children that Jesus was “Son” of Allah?

    Dear Roshan,

Are you sure that her parents will allow her to come to India for higher studies? If she could not come? Then,

Any way, think all aspects of life both religion. Marriage is possible only in India?

    God bless you.
