I am in same situation. A brahmin girl who is a single child and in love with a muslim. He is not religious and nor am i. We both are financially independent and have decided to move abroad if our parents disown us, though we’ll always try to be in touch with them and help them. what do you think about the decision? -Sarah

We have decided to do a court marriage and he has readily agreed to accept me as it is without changing my religion, name or anything. He is not against idol worshiping or me going to temples. Instead, he is willing to come to the temples with me himself. We respect each other’s religion, and more than that, we love each other more than we love our religions. -Sarah

Dear Amit, Don’t worry, I’m not blinded by love. The demerits that Sourav has mentioned have already been discussed between us. I have gone through them so well that i can tell you how my married life’s going to be. I’m not IGNORANT about the points you mentioned. I have thought upon them before and have took this decision only after confirming that I’m totally safe with him. And, he himself doesn’t want me to convert…..so there’s no problem. I failed to understand why muslims trap Brahmin hindu girls reason being they know that Brahmins are educated good looks ( I dont mean that others are not so as brahmins) and more liberal that makes them vunerable, The parents with good living life standard dont bother much for their kids they have trust and think my kids are wise enough to handle the situation and in liew there of the children take disadvantage of their parents openness and trapped by muslims. Muslims play very cartefully with the girls giving them all sorts of attractions to girls they seduce them by all means and ultimately the girls comes in the trap then the actual game of shadi starts the girl either absconds with the guy ( In case the parents of the girl are not ready forr the marriage )ans get marry in a court or a masjid the girl is converted to Islam ( As admin said love is like a nasha of cocaine and looses all iyts nerves of thinking good and bad )After few months the real story starts of conversion and so many things and after 1 yr or may be a lil late the real face of the guys family and himself descloses then the torture starts for so many things like Burka, eating Beef, loss of indepandency and only concentrate to home and family . ultimately if the girls is little bold then either she commits suicide or is divorced 3 talak , If the girl is enough to support her self then in that case the marriage prolonges for another few more yrs but the result is always is negative . And when the nasha of pyar and youth goes down then ultimately it stands to talak and the girls life is doomed . there are very rare stories of successfull marriage of muslim hindu . most are utter failure . But still the girls do. God save those

I was born a Hindu Brahmin. I met my now husband while in college back in 1997. Against my father’s advice, I became friends with him. For Maya’s birth we did both the hindu and muslim customs for a newborn. But in reality we both are scientists and know with evidence there is no god and religion is man made. To stay loyal to the tribe, we never uttered the words.
But when it came time to explain to 4 year-old Maya and 3 year-old Layla why our 12-week old puppy died and where he went, we could no longer live the lie.
It was easier for our parents to just regurgitate the answers they were given without questioning the validity of them…but in science we’ve learned that we have all evolved to share this Earth over the course of 3.5 billion years and there are no outliers to the natural laws thus leaving no room for the supernatural. How can I regurgitate that which I know to be false? Especially to the 2 people I am entrusted with. It would have been a 30-year step back in time and the progression of thought/knowledge would be halted as they would then have to re-learn what their father and I already had.
We openly became atheist in 2010. We left the isolation of our individual communities and joined with humanity. We have never looked back and Maya and Layla are now both ahead of the game.

We agree 99%, except one thing.
It is wrong to say go based on “whether u were happy or not!”, ideally, it should be “judge for the future if you WILL be happy and go for it”. One should not jump in the well because you know how to dive and swim. Ideally you have to find out how deep is the well water and, if need be, how you will come out of of the well. Is this not true?
We would recommend to keep going on her love relationship but, while on the path, keep eyes open to learn of facts about him? Is that not true?
